Elisa Levitz Cafferky

Elisa Levitz Cafferky

Elisa (Levitz) Cafferky has over 20 years experience in direct and channel technology sales, federal procurement operations, business development and sales management in the commercial software and technology solutions industry.  She has established a reputation as an expert “early adopter” sales and business development presence for early stage technology innovation companies.  However, after a major spinal cord injury paralyzed her oldest son in 2007, Elisa took off 18 months to be a full time caregiver to Nick.  Recently back in the high technology community, Elisa has returned to her roots as a technology sales rep to the community she has always loved working with – Domestic and National Intelligence.

Currently employed as an Account Executive in the newly formed SAS Federal National Security Group,  Elisa has held prior senior sales positions with pre-IPO/acquisition technology startups, including Tivoli Systems (now IBM), ActiveSW (to become WebMethods, Inc. and now part of Software, AG), Bowstreet Software, Tacit Knowledge Systems (now part of Oracle), and Fortify Software.  In 2005, Elisa, along with colleagues from Oracle, founded Sawteeth, Inc., a new technology company that provides secure search and ontology management to the intelligence and scientific communities.  Sawteeth, Inc., led by Paul Dixon, continues to provide technology and services to a discrete target market.

Prior to her entrepreneurial experiences, Ms. Cafferky was a territory sales manager at both Oracle and Sybase and was a Marketing/Business Development manager for a local 8(a) system integrator, CBSI, Inc.

In the Spring of 2000, when challenged by some close friends and her husband to reconcile her strong Jewish faith with her love of the philosophy of Ayn Rand, Elisa read the entire Bible on a dare.  Elisa's journey to reconcile what she read in the Bible with her faith and her work/life philosophy has not been an easy one.  Elisa's faith journey has been an interesting one full of ups and downs that she will share at this year's High Tech Prayer Breakfast.

Elisa was a founding member of the ITCF (Information Technology Community Foundation) and served on the Senior Advisory Board from September 2000 – 2002.  She is active in several faith-based professional and community organizations.  Married with two sons, Elisa has a BS in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.  Brendan is a freshman at Langley High School, and Nick is carrying on his mother’s tradition at the greatest university in this state, Virginia Tech.
